Who is behind this blog?

Hi, I’m Donise, also known as The Unprofessional Mom—but don’t let the name fool you. I’m deeply passionate about helping moms and educators reclaim their time, energy, and purpose so they can thrive in every area of life.

Before becoming a Life Coach for Moms, I spent 11 years as a high school teacher, pouring my heart into my students while juggling the endless responsibilities of motherhood. I know firsthand what it’s like to feel stretched too thin—giving everything to others while leaving little for yourself. It wasn’t until I learned to prioritize my own well-being that I truly found balance, joy, and fulfillment.

Now, I help other moms and educators break free from burnout, rediscover their passions, and build lives that feel both meaningful and sustainable. Whether it’s through coaching, resources, or real, honest conversations, my mission is to empower you to put yourself first—without guilt—so you can show up as the best version of YOU.

If you’re ready to stop running on empty and start thriving, I’d love to connect. Because when YOU flourish, so does everyone around you.
